9 Days Lemosho Route

9 Days Lemosho Route

Description

Dive into a journey like no other with our 9 Days Lemosho Route, an opportunity to witness the majestic beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Lemosho Route, often hailed as one of Kilimanjaro's most picturesque paths, starts from the lush west, winding through the dense rainforest and into the vibrant heath ecosystem adorned with wildflowers.

As you approach the iconic Shira Plateau, prepare to be captivated by breathtaking vistas exclusive to the Lemosho route. As the trail progresses, it merges with the renowned Machame Route, guiding trekkers past landmarks like the Lava Tower and the formidable Barranco Wall.

While the Lemosho Route offers varying durations of 6, 7, or 8 days, our Lemosho Route 9 Days itinerary with the best climbing experience is tailored for those who wish to immerse themselves fully, allowing ample time for acclimatization and enhance the chances of a successful summit. Spend the initial two days soaking in the tranquillity of the rainforest before reaching the Shira Plateau.

This exceptional package promises a harmonious blend of serenity, low foot traffic, and a high-quality hiking experience, making it one of the top Mount Kilimanjaro Packages. Travel with Tanzania Tribe Safaris and discover the splendour of Kilimanjaro, one step at a time.

At Stella Point (18,600 ft), you will stop for a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see (weather permitting). From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your 1-hour ascent to the summit. At Uhuru Peak, you have reached the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa. Faster hikers will see the sunrise from the summit.

From the summit, we now make our descent continuing straight down to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping at Barafu for lunch. You will want gaiters and trekking poles for the loose gravel going down. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon. Later in the evening, we enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and a well-earned sleep.
