You will stop for lunch along the way. The lunch will be served in a mass tent or you’ll have a picnic lunch that completely depends on the weather conditions, and the chosen route. On arrival at your next camp, you’ll find your tent ready for you and your backpack inside. It’s important to change out of any damp clothing and unpack before heading over to the mess tent for snack and tea time.
Around 7:00 pm, an early diner will be served with the briefing for the next day’s hiking. You will be served dinner in the mess tent beautifully arranged with tables, chairs, dinnerware, and silverware.
After having your breakfast, you can talk with your fellow climbers, guides, and porters or you can crawl into your sleeping bag for an early good night.
After the early dinner, your Kilimanjaro Guide will brief you about the next day’s climbing. A daily evening briefing is all about the required things like what the next day will be like in terms of altitude, hiking trail, walking distance and clothing to wear for the night.
